CD Wedding Favors - What Are They?
So you’ve got the wedding planned. Three hundred guests are coming, the catereres are ready, the reception hall is booked, the band are coming althoguh their bass player is ill at the moment, the invitations have been sent, the flowers are ready, the wedding dress has been designed, the ring is ready etc…..is there anything else you could possibly think about without having your mind explode?
Unfortunately, yes. The wedding favor is an often overlooked part of the ceremony but having a unique wedding favor such as bamboo wedding favors can make a big difference between an average wedding and one that is that little bit extra special. Choosing a wedding favor can be tricky though. What can you possibly give to every guest that will suit an entire age range, background range and culture range? They are only meant to be a small gift, but there is no point getting them if they aren’t going to add to the theme of the wedding and if they’re not going to be enjoyed by the guests.
Usually, people want unique and strange wedding favors. That’s were CD wedding favors come in. These are just simply a CD that either contains music or more often pictures that somehow related to the couples life so far and how it will continue. They are great at the ceremony because a lot of your friends will be genuinely impressed by them, especially ones that are filled with pictures of your life - often that include them too!
CD wedding favors are a great way to get people to remember your wedding too. If you get them some sugard almonds which is tradition, that’s great but they are hardly going to remember it several years later. With a CD they will always be coming across it which helps to keep in mind your wedding. I really like CD wedding favors for this reason.
How Much Do They Cost?
Like any wedding favors it is the sheer quantity that ends up making the price so large. It’s difficult to put an exact price on the cds because it depends on various factors such as ow elaborate the cover design is, how thick the cover book as and what kind of cd you go for. It also depends on teh vendor as some will be more pricy than others - of course this is the same for any kind of wedding favor and is more general advice.
Are There Different Types?
Most of the companies that sell cd wedding favors will allow you to choose between various templates. Some are romantic, some modern, some jazzy and some more serene. This is great because it means you can match them to your overall wedding theme giving a great sense of continuity. You don’t want to have a very stylish and traditional wedding and then an over the top wedding favor, it just wouldn’t fit and would leave people wondering if there is any kind of theme to your wedding at all.
I personally prefer the more fun cds if they fit your wedding theme. It can be quite embarassing having a cd of pictures if they are ultra serious, its much better to make it into a fun thing that everyone can enjoy rather than expecting all your wedding guests to spend their time saying “aren’t they beautiful?”.
Can I just get them for weddings?
No! CD favors are available for all kinds of different events, and can be a great addition to any large gaterhing of friends. For example they might be used at a party or other social gathering. It’s probably best to save them for special occasions though, such as 21st birthdays or anniversaries.
